So, the swell is hitting and I may even be tempted to dig out my waveski.
The question is where to go.... Surfline says Faria beach. Ya listening Rod, I may have to drop you a line and invite Allen and myself up there if you are around. ;D

I'd consider Faria since it has better shaped waves than San O' but the traffic on the drive back is a bitch! After all the driving I've done the last 2 weekends I'm temped to just surf the stinky local waters of El Porto. The wave are good and the early morning is uncrowded. Anyway, it helps to keep my resistance to polluted waters up.

Rod, I didn't call you yesterday due to adventures in El Porto that saw me heading to work via Little Company of Mary Emergency. Two stiches in my lower lip later and I was good to go. I was not sure if I would be surfing today.... will call you later. Am thinking a visit up there tomorrow would work. Bill, you wanna carpool?

As of 11:00 AM conditions SUCK. Wave size is down, too much bump, overcast, cold......shit, I think I'll cut my throat.
Ash, sorry to hear of your misadventures. Maybe if you took along a sewing kit from now on....?

Aww phooy.... Just got back from a late session at Bolsa, got some good waves but I should have surfed better... I was holding back and tensing up. But then I guess stitches in your lip the day before will do that. Conditions stayed glass through till 1pm which is unheard of for Bolsa. Waves were running shoulder to head high with the occasional plus set. Vicious shore drift though. Well maybe I won't call ya later then Rod. I think what I really need to carry is medical superglue, that way I can apply while still surfing so as not to ruin the session! Let me know if things change.

I like the Super Glue idea a lot. Dual purpose......you can shove it down the throats of obnoxious boardies!
If conditions change, I'll let ya know.......

Ash, You’ve got to stay off that new thingy you’ve been ridding. What did you call it again? I think you called it a “surf board” ? Those things are dangerous! They’ll hit you ever time! Isn’t there a seatbelt law in California? Are they even legal in the water? If they’re not they should be! We had a great time at El stinko, I mean El Porto. Until the crowd showed up and the tide got high at about 8:00 am. I couldn’t make Rod’s point since I had a B-day party for my dad.

"Rod's Point"! That has a nice ring to it. Maybe if you could convince 2 or 3 hundred other surfers.........

Hah Bill.... don't try and tell me you have not been dabbling with the dark side yourself. From now on, it's Rod's Point, hey you never know if we keep at it, it may stick Rod.

Ok I've dabbled a little too.
I don't think think it will be hard to get a majority of the So. Cal waveskiers to call it Rod's point. Who else really matters?

The "Mal" boys and the "chippie" riders may be a bit more of a challenge to convert!
