What do you folks wear to surf waveskis up North in the winter months. I'm planning on making two or three trips this winter up as far as Santa Cruz area. Down here in San Diego I get by with a 3/2 wetsuit with a hydroskin top underneath if it ever gets cold which isn't often. How about hoods that would work with a helmet? The brain freeze and cold water in the ears is the worst. I don't want to spend a fortune to have gear I just use a few times a year.
